Nuxalbari's Response to Covid-19

Watched heartbreaking images of workers walking thousands of kilometres because they were abandoned by their employers and government alike? 

Well, it wasn't like that at Nuxalbari Tea Estate at all. 

Here are some of the steps we took as soon as news of the pandemic broke:

* Workers education on the link between personal hygiene and the spread of Covid.

* Strict rules on physical distancing at all work stations from field to factory

* Mandatory masks

*Regular check ups of all workers at our clinic

*Wash stations with soap in factory and field

* Mandatory home quarantine for all those returning to the estate from outside.
